"High School and College Math courses plus SAT, ACT, GRE, and Praxis"

Hi. My name is Bob, and I have been a college Math instructor for more than 14 years, over 7 years full-time. What I enjoy most is seeing students learn and master math subjects and succeeding in taking standardized tests. I have tutored high school, college students, and working adults for more than 2000 hours over 13 years (this includes more than 500 hours with WyzAnt). Subjects include all high school MATH courses and most college MATH courses, plus SAT/ACT, GRE, PRAXIS Math Core and ... ... More

I have to admit, I was looking for the cheapest tutor I could find, so Peter was not my first choice. But, I'm very glad I decided to meet with him. He is honestly the best tutor I've ever had. He takes the time to figure out where the root of my problems with algebra begin, instead of doing the work for me. He also explains everything in great detail and shows me shortcuts. We've already covered order of operations, PEMDAS, distribution, the FOIL method, exponents of numbers, variables and parentheses as well as factoring. All of these topics were covered in 2 sessions and I fully understand all of them now. Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Peter K. as a tutor. He is reliable and is helping me because he wants me to do well, not just to make a little extra cash.

"Oxford PhD Math Tutor - High School, College, GRE"

My qualification for tutoring GMAT is based upon (1) my academic record and (2) my workplace experience. Academic achievements include a BS (with honors)in Applied Physics and a Doctorate in Engineering Physics from Oxford University. This academic background requires considerably more advanced mathematical and analytical skills than are required for the GMAT. On the management front, I moved from a staff position at Oxford University to industry in 1974 as a section manager for the aerospace division of a privately owned instrumentation company. In 1982 I set up a subsidiary company specializ ... More

Gail was very organized and professional. She quickly began her session by making my daugther very comfortable. She was able to access my daughter's weakness and layout a great plan to improve them. She made the learning fun and interesting for her, and even ended the session with a game. I will recommend her for any child that needs to "pay more attention" to their work. After the first session my daughter ( who never really liked school work) asked, " when will that nice, fun, and smart teacher come back". In fact, she even did her homework immediately after Gail left. We are lucky to find such an dedicated educator.

"Patient and Motivating Math/SAT/Writing Tutor"

Hi everyone, my name is Brian. If you are considering Math subject tutoring, SAT tutoring or Writing tutoring, look no further! I'm a graduate of Boston College, and Math and Writing have always been my strongest academic subjects. I want to sit down and work with students to look at what is giving them problems either with academic subjects such as Math or Writing, or with the SAT. No more worrying about those classes and tests in school, and increased readiness and decreased anxiety for the... ... More
