Karen is helping our 8th grader with SSAT prep. She was so warm and enthusiastic! At the end of the session our daughter, who had started out a bit apprehensive about the work, was smiling, engaged, and looking forward to the next session.

"SAT, ACT, HSPT, SSAT, ISEE test prep, in person or online, all ages"
I enjoy tutoring accounting classes of all types. I personally go beyond simply helping a student memorize accounting principles. I show students how to understand the concepts and how to study properly and effectively. I focus on how to tackle accounting principles accurately by breaking down the concepts in easy to understand, everyday examples. I promote understanding of accounting vocabulary with a "back-to-basics" style. I build confidence by using a very positive, one-on-one approach towards accounting that focuses on a student's strengths and helps them conquer their challenges, on ... More

Lee is excellent at working with my daughter who partly has a Non-verbal Learning Disorder. Currently, Lee is helping her with the writing process and reading comprehension, and has really made a noticeable improvement to my daughter's confidence in these areas. Lee uses a blend of teaching techniques that are both classic and creative that my daughter can respond to. She is also a pleasure to work with.

When the mind is unfocused, it impossible to learn. The first step is to STOP and choose to pay attention deliberately. I have 30 years of "mindfulness' practice that I will teach your child to use. I also have worked with ADD children and adults as part of 25 years teaching public school. The Special Education certificate I have is valid in Mass and NH. I can help.

Louise has been very helpful to my daughter. She has the ability to explain solutions that could not be discussed in class. Very happy with her.

"Certified Teacher, Experienced Tutor, many subjects, especially math"
I have an MEd in Special Ed. I've been a case manager at the High School and Middle School level. Many of my students have been coded with Aspergers or PDD of various sorts. I have worked at a private special ed school in Concord, which specializes in helping students with Aspergers. And I worked for years in the high tech industry, most recently as a technical writer, and worked closely with many adults who were very likely Aspergers. I do "get it". :-) And I know how to communicate and teach students who struggle with other teachers. ... More

"Love teaching and learning"
I have been an educator for 23 years. I spent 12 years working as a classroom teacher in Grades 4-6, and then spent the next 11 years as an Administrator. I have recently returned to the classroom ad a 4th grade teacher and I am beyond excited. I loved my time as as a school leader and instructional coach, but my responsibilities were taking me further and further away from my students. I am looking to continue my work with students outside of the classroom and welcome the opportunity to... ... More

"Effective Nursing tutor specializing in Test Prep/NCLEX & English"
My love of teaching comes from a life-long career of daily learning, while in the health care profession. While in RN school, I became a L.P.N./L.V.N, and when I passed my NCLEX-RN Exam the first time in 1993, a colleague asked me to take classes together that summer towards our B.S.N.s. I suffered from test anxiety, often entering a final exam with a A or B, only to "blank out" despite the fact that I knew the material well, but I agreed. Well, not only did I complete my B.S.N. while working... ... More

Though I do not want her time to be taken up by anyone else ... I HAVE to say what a wonderful tutor Miss Erin is for my 14 year old daughter! My daughter is doing 9th grade biology online. She is a straight A student, however, this class was kicking her booty! There were many tears and frustrating moments for the entire family. Miss Erin came in and made all the difference in the world! After the VERY FIRST lesson, Cam came out happy ... and CONFIDENT! Erin is patient, professional, and compassionate. We already appreciate her more than she will ever know. I hope you get the chance to enrich your schooling experience through her expertise ... But remember ... Tuesday mornings are MINE!

Met Haley at Starbucks and she helped me tremendously in just one hour . She was organized and knowledgeable and was able to explain accounting concepts I had difficulty understand up to that point. If you need accounting help she is your tutor. Really appreciate her help!
