I've been working with Maryna for several weeks and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with her. She is very patient, encouraging and fun. Russian is very difficult to learn from scratch, but she is helping me learn the basics. She comes well prepared with lots of visual aids and workbook exercises. I plan to continue working with her in the coming months to get a basic understanding of Russian in time for my wedding to a Russian woman in the fall.
I would highly recommend Maryna to anyone who would like to study Russian.
My son took a Statistics during the winter session. As we all know the winter session is only 3 weeks and is very intense. He was with a grade of 61 before we had Steve tutor my son. That being said, Steve began tutoring the 3 days only before the semester was over. To make the long story short, my son got a B for that semester.
It might be helpful to know that he not only taught my son the lesson he instilled organizational skills, and study habits in that very short time.
I wish Steve was close to my son's college and could cover all subjects in the Nursing program.
If anyone is in need of a great tutor, my son himself will tell you to go look for Steve. Up to today he compares his tutoring methodology with his current professors and try to use the skills he learned in such a short time.
Dave is a truly excellent tutor. I was returning to school after not having touched math at this level in over a decade. Dave was patient with me and helped me understand concepts I wasn't getting in class. He is really personable and really made statistics interesting for me largely because his passion for it shines through. All of our sessions were with the video chat and whiteboard feature, which was extremely helpful. I really understood the material and with his help, I cut down on silly mental mistakes. Dave helped correct how I went about approaching the problems. I ended up getting an A in my class and know I would not have been able to do that without Dave's help.
