Yayoi was extremely kind and very knowledgeable. She helped me tremendously to get unstuck from my Calculus rut. I was able to arrange a 3 hour session with her during my Columbus Day/brief fall recess. I sought help on a Wednesday and was able to confirm the appointment by Friday for a 3 hour session on the following Monday. Yayoi took a look at material I needed to cover and I told her exactly what I needed from her as a tutor. She did exactly that, which was spending time with me going through each topic, one by one, and explaining to me her stream-of-consciousness mathematical rationale. Though we could not go through everything, she successfully gave me the push I needed to get back on track with my own studies. Today, I successfully completed 4 quizzes spanning 2 chapters. I don't think I could've done it without Yayoi. I'm extremely satisfied with the quality of my tutoring session with her. I highly recommend.

She focused on what I need- for this, she asked me about my weak point before our first meeting and prepared a good ESL material for me, which was considerate and kindly. During tutoring, she was correcting what I made mistakes patiently and practicing useful conversations with me.
