Sarah has been great! She has been working with my 14 year old son on his algebra skills for the past 3 weeks and I have been so impressed. From the first contact I made with her by email, she has been prompt and friendly in her responses. She works with our schedule and shows up on time, every time.
But, best of all, she really knows how to relate to my son and make math more interesting. He has become much more engaged in the learning process and actually looks forward to his lessons. Our 10-year-old godson had just arrived in the U.S. from Ecuador and spoke only Spanish. He started attending a private school with no ESL program and understandably was making very little progress.
We chose Mary to help him learn English largely because she is also fluent in Spanish. Her being able to switch to Spanish has been essential in putting him at ease so he is confident in trying to pronounce new English words and for explaining more complicated concepts. Seeing them interact, it is obvious that Mary is experienced in working with children. He brightens up when he is with her.
Mary tutors our godson at his school and has done a great job of interfacing with teachers and administrators to make the process go very smoothly. We feel really fortunate that Mary is helping he get such a positive start in school here in the U.S.
