Whereas some tutors have a superficial understanding, Matt is quick to get at the basic principles being tested. GRE and GMAT are about getting the common rules of math, and instead of being focused on the small picture, Matt can easily explain the big principle rules that you will see in many questions. Sophie and I have had two lessons thus far. I find that she is helping me enormously with thorough explanations for the grammatical points or word usage problems I have. (I think it is a great advantage that she is a French teacher -- thus able to give me hints as to how to remember something. She knows the sticky problems students of French have.)
Also -- each time I leave our session I want to study more -- following up and reinforcing what she has just taught me.
We've met in two places now -- and i like the fact that she is flexible with time and we can meet at places convenient to us both.
Without WyzAnt I would not have been able to find Sophie.

Marc has been tutoring two of my children, a 13 year old and a sixteen year old, both males, and he has been doing a fantastic job. He is responsible and dependable. He is patient. He explains well. He adjusts his lessons so both of my sons look forward to the tutoring and value it highly. They both have very good grades in math, and for at least one of the boys, his grade is substantially better than it would have been without the tutoring. The other boy's grade is definitely improved as well.
