"Master's Student Passionate About Learning And Teaching!"
Hello! My name is Alicia and I am a master's student at BU Medical School. I love learning and believe that some of the best learning can take place outside of the classroom! In my personal education, I have learned the most by participating in service trips, volunteering, and working through a problem in real life. In the classroom during my undergraduate career, at Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU), I was a classroom tutor/assistant for the psychology course "Human Growth and Dev... ... More

"Lesley University Graduate Specializing in Learning Difficulties"
I've taught numerous students who have ADD or ADHD. The main difference between the two is that students with ADD typically are easily distracted and tend to have racing thoughts which prevents them from keeping focused for longer periods of time. Students with ADHD have the above problems, but they also have hyperactivity problems, such as not being able to sit still or keeping their hands still. Their bodies are overstimulated and require additional tools/feedback,so that they can improve their attention span. Many students with ADD or ADHD tend to need some form of physical therapy, occupat ... More

My son is very happy with the calculus BC lessons he receives from Steven. He clearly explains all concepts and never wastes his time. My son sends him the problems he has beforehand and Steven works them out so that during the lesson they are moving as quickly as possible. Also, Steven sends him useful review sheets through email when the lessons are over. I highly recommend Steven as a tutor for Calculus!

I have been teaching and tutoring more than 20 years in mathematics. I use good listening, simple language, and a sense of humor to make difficult subjects easy to understand and fun by using everyday language and real-world examples. My girls felt so much better with geometry and their confidence was regained. I had her come back for a second time the same week to keep their confidence, even their math teacher was impressed with their improvement and was able to see how much they had learned and understood. Now we just have to keep it up. A little expensive but well worth it, Andrea is definitely my girls' "life saver," thank you. Will continue to use her.

"99th Percentile Tutor: SAT, ACT, Calculus, Physics, Precalculus, GRE"
Turn yours struggles into success! I have been tutoring for over fourteen years and have worked with students of diverse backgrounds. I began tutoring during high school as a volunteer tutor to an algebra class at a private Catholic school in my community. I had always assisted my peers in class, so tutoring formally came very naturally to me. My high school guidance counselors saw how much I excelled at math and science, as well as how my I enjoyed sharing my affinity for those subjects with... ... More
