"Elementary Elite"
My favorite part about tutoring is instilling the “can do†attitude in students who are usually seeking out tutoring in a subject area that they may not be as strong in as other subjects in school. I love watching the students progress from the first visit until they may grow out of needing tutoring services. My experience in teaching includes my masters degree in elementary education, with a bachelors in multidisciplinary studies. I currently substitute teach, which has allowed me to grow my... ... More

I have always had trouble with math. No offense to male tutors, but the last two I had (on my own) made me feel like an idiot. Becky makes me feel very comfortable. She explains things very thoroughly, and goes over them as many times as I need until I understand. She gives me examples and has a warm personality. She works around my hectic schedule, and helps me in a pinch, especially if I am pressed to get something in on time. I am so happy with her and thankful I found her. I am dealing with a personal tragedy that makes it hard to focus and she is so patient. I was drowning in a pool of exponents and "power," but thanks to Becky, I'm staying grounded! I would recommend her to anyone and everyone!

"Enthusiastic Math Tutor with Degree and Results"
I have worked with several students that were diagnosed with ADHD. When I taught at a private school, many students relied on our abilities to provide individual learning plans with extended time and resources. I patiently and respectfully teach students with ADHD in groups and one-on-one, telling them that they can work hard to achieve their goals. This approach has proven to help their educational confidence and understanding along the way. ... More

He was very patient with hard concepts. I asked him a question five times and didn't make me feel stupid about asking over and over and worked with me till I finally got it. Incredibly patient. Do recommend

Very helpful in dissecting problems and explaining in detail why mistakes were made for AP physics. Brought quiz grade up significantly after one session.
