"Math and Physics Tutor; USC Mechanical Engineering Student"
Hello! I'm Bryce, I am a mechanical engineering student at the University of Southern California. I love learning and helping others learn. I think math is fascinating and incredibly valuable, and believe that everyone is capable of mathematical insight if they have access to the right resources.
Everyone learns in a unique way, and my tutoring style reflects that. I draw material from videos, online articles, textbooks, and my own experiences as a student to craft lessons that fit each stud... ... More

My daughter is a visual mathematician, in that she sees answers and functions rather than necessarily follows the methods put forward in books. Ken has been doing a great job of helping her connect the two so that she can do well in her Calculus class. He also helps her understand how the mathematics apply to her chosen major of Physics, which is bonus. We find him knowledgeable, friendly and patient - and he can come up with different approaches to the studies on the fly - which works well for my daughter.

"Working scientist, PhD, nuclear physicist, vast experience"
I've been teaching or tutoring for over twenty years in some form or another. For me the reward from tutoring is when I see that a student has caught onto an idea, when the light bulb goes on. In my career I've not only studied physics, mathematics and statistics, but applied them as well as time management and study skills. I can help a student succeed in all these areas.
My career has included a PhD in Nuclear Physics, postdoctoral work in nuclear astrophysics and over twenty years of e... ... More

"College sophomore. Specializes in Physics, Calculus, Algebra, Geometry"
I first started tutoring in high school as part of our volunteer program. I assisted students with their math and physics homework.
After high school I was hired on as a program assistant at a BGCA-affiliated youth center and was primarily responsible for Power Hour, which was a 2 hour period of time directly after school that was intended to give the kids a place to do their homework and study in an environment that was tailored to help them focus and be comfortable.
After leaving the youth ... ... More

"College and High School Physics and Math"
Tutoring is an act of observation. It succeeds where normal instruction fails because it is geared toward a student's particular strengths. My best experiences as a tutor have been with the students who needed me most, learning how they needed to learn. I have been a tutor in one setting or another since childhood.
As an undergraduate I was a teacher's assistant in English, German and Astronomy, a grader in Calculus and a tutor in Physics for scientists and engineers. I have continued to... ... More
