Ayako is very adaptable to students' different learning needs. We do half an hour of conversation and a half hour of grammar review. I have been learning on my own but it is very valuable to work with Ayoko because she explains the different shades of meaning and styles of communication from formal to casual. She is engaging and fun to be with.

"Experienced Math/Physics/Chem/Stat Tutor"
As a tutor my goal has always been to have a positive impact on the lives of the students with whom I work. No magic wand will put the power of learning solely in my hands, but students that come to me prepared to work will find me a valuable resource and an enthusiastic ally. I have been working in the Austin area as a tutor for over 20 years, and working with WyzAnt since 2008. I majored in math at UT-Austin, taking over 50 credit hours in math alone, as well as 50+ combined credit hours in... ... More
My adult daughter has to get through the basic algebra requirements at DVC to move onto her dream of attending a 4 year college. Math anxiety plus was and is her nemesis. Hedlye's patience, clear explanation, and willingness to be flexible with her schedule made her a great fit for my daughter. We just got her grade and she passed college Algebra. One more class in statistics. I know with Hedlye tutoring her, she'll take that on and succeed as well.

What a great tutor so far! So I am currently taking business calculus 2 online (at UT) and I have basically decided after a few sessions that Mr. Joe is the right man to take me through this entire class. Needless to say I have a large amount of confidence in him. At the beginning of every session he has came extremely well prepared with obvious time spent before the session. As well as being extremely knowledgeable he is very patient and always willing to do whatever I want to go over. He truly has the students interests as his number one priority. Great guy I highly recommend him.
(To give myself authority, I am a UT student and I have seen a good number of tutors. Mr. Joe is the best experience, by far, I have ever had with a tutor.)

"Texas Certified Math and Science Teacher"
My goal is to provide a convenient and helpful service.
I am happy to meet students online using Wyzant's outstanding online tools, but I will also meet with students in the comfort of their own home or a neutral place like the library in Cedar Park or Starbucks.
I'm a full time tutor committed to my students 9a-9p / 6 days a week and after 2:00 on Sundays.
I do not have a set session length. For each student I try to schedule enough time to cover that student's needs most of the time. F... ... More

"Experienced tutor in languages, government, social sciences, writing "
Want to improve your grades? Interested in learning a new language? I've been told I have a talent for teaching along with patience, tenacity and a sense of humor. I use the analytical and communication skills I honed in law school to break down information and explain it in simple, easy to understand language. I follow the traditional teaching method using explanations, examples and demonstrations but I also believe in the Socratic method. That is I like to guide the student through his own ... ... More
