Learning a new language can be great fun, nevertheless, it can also be a difficult process, and in order to keep up with other people in your class you might want to think about getting some extra one-on-one help. By hiring Cedars language tutors, you can help yourself to get ahead by working with your very own personal tutor. Personal one-to-one tutoring can really help you to catch-up if you are lagging behind on your language studies, as well as helping you to become fluent in a new language.
By hiring a language tutor, you are giving yourself the best chance to learn a new language and achieve a passing grade in both verbal and written exams, which is something that you will already be striving towards.

Alexandra is AMAZING! She always comes prepared and always provides additional learning resources whether it be through funny youtube cartoons, personal stories/culture or extra handouts and websites to help with the learning process. She also is tailoring the classes and lessons to my goals (being able to speak with my girlfriends parents) and my learning ability. I never feel like I'm learning "useless" information like I did when trying to learn from books or audio cd's. She always keeps me informed if there is to be any change in schedule and is flexible to my own. I really appreciate the time and effort she puts into teaching me Russian and I HIGHLY recommend her!

I am a native Russian speaker. I learned English (for beginners) at school. Then I mastered it through fellowship and living in the States for 17 years.
I have been teaching Russian for 14 years. I taught different ages from 5 to 70. I am comfortable teaching group of students as well as to give private face-to-face or online lessons. I have taught Russian at a language school, a language camp, 2 years at a High School and Adult Night School.

"Experienced French and ESL/ESOL Tutor for ALL Learners"
My teaching and tutoring career has taken me around the world, both in and outside the classroom. An early interest in language and literature led to my university studies in Language Education. My masters in Applied Psycholinguistics is a fancy way to describe "what happens in our brains when we communicate." "Certified in Special Education, Reading Specialist, and ESL"
I have taught Special Education at the elementary level, middle school level and the high school, and post high school level. I taught for 12 years. My teaching position required a lot of small group work and one on one work. I love working one on one with students or small groups because it allows you to get to know and use the strengths of that student as well as working on the specific weaknesses. Tutoring also allows for a relationship between the teacher and student that is otherwis... ... More

Alan is an excellent tutor. I learned a great deal during my chess lesson! Not only is he a great player, but he is also a patient instructor.

"Patient and painless transfer of Knowledge"
Chess has been the game that teaches more lessons then just the capture of your opponent's pieces and a victory. Rather, the game is the learning of life-long lessons that will benefit you whether you become a master or stay a novice. The game is never repetetive
and stays unique and fresh.

I've had the pleasure of several tutoring sessions with Christie and was impressed with the level of detail in the sessions. Christie explains the material in great detail and always makes herself available to assist, even on her personal time. I would recommend tutoring with Christie to any potential student who may require assistance.
