In just 3 sessions with Nichole, my son is more confident, and has gotten A's on two quizzes. She is super patient, but has high expectations!

"Science and math enthusiast!"

Science and math are pursuits of the unknown. Finding the question is the beginning of the path to understanding the solution. I have been teaching students math and sciences for over 10 years, and enjoy bringing insight of challenging material to an eager mind. Scientific investigations into unknown processes inspire my teaching of basic and advanced concepts to my students. I have taught classes at The University of Michigan, Eastern Michigan University, and Albion College including ch... ... More

"Excellent Math and Science Tutor"

Hi! My name is Josh and as a recently-graduated science major (Biochemistry) from the University of Cincinnati, I know all too well the difficulties students face in challenging math and science classes. However, I also know how to excel in courses like these, as evidenced by a perfect 4.0 GPA and Summa Cum Laude Honors upon graduation from UC. Perhaps more importantly, though, is the fact that I have extensive tutoring experience. Whether it's tutoring through school, private tutoring, or ... ... More

Right after Suzie left from our daughter's very first session, she was all thumbs up and beaming a huge smile. What a confidence booster for our daughter just in the first session. Suzie is so patient. She spends time on each problem and follows through to make sure that the student does understand before moving on. We have only had 2 sessions, but sure is beginning on a very positive note.
Fumiko is of course very skilled in her abilities to teach Japanese to students with a myriad of approaches to learning the language. She emphasizes focus on reading and speaking the language because exposure to reading and reading aloud is one of the best ways to become fluent in a language. On top of this, she is very careful about pointing out small mistakes that might go otherwise unnoticed, which is incredibly important for students looking to learn to read, speak, and write like a native. Aside from her teaching prowess, Fumiko is incredibly patient and understanding of busy schedules and such. I took lessons with her for my entire first year of college during which Fumiko was quite cognizant and respectful of my work load. She also helped me locate good placed to meet to have lessons, which was especially useful for me, someone brand new to Seattle. Overall, Fumiko is an excellent and knowledgeable tutor whom I would recommend to anyone wishing to take private Japanese lessons in the Seattle area. :)
