Marie has been a wonderful tutor for me: we have designed a curriculum that approaches the language in a variety of ways: some memorization to develop a feel for the language, some reading through classics and discussing vocab and grammar issues that arise, some specific drills to focus in on the fine points, and quite a bit of conversation which is the only way to develop an "ear" for the language. Because of her knowledge of the literature and her years of teaching experience, she brings a wealth of ideas about different things to read and approaches to take. She is thorough while at the same time being patient and understanding, and although we cover a lot of ground during each lesson the time passes quickly and effortlessly. Reflecting back over this series of lessons I am very pleasantly surprised at how much more confident and competent I am about hearing, speaking and understanding French. Five stars!

I was a very good player making 3 All Star teams. As a coach, working with kids for whom baseball was their only avenue of escape, we took ... ... More
