Here are the important points about my tutoring experience with Susan. First, with her help I went from failing to A's and B's in my first math class (PreAlgebra). Second, I got a B in college-level Algebra, after having so much trouble in 'preAlgebra'. Next, I continued with Susan through my third math class (statistics), which I also passed! The fact that I continued on with Susan as my tutor through three semesters of math classes shows that I think she has helped me a lot. Thanks again!

"Everyone CAN get it! Math isn't hard when it's explained right."

Orlando Area Software Developer (15+ yrs) I have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. I've been tutoring people of all ages in many subjects since I had these same courses in High School & College. I especially enjoy helping others with Math. So many people have had bad experiences with Math ... and it is an amazing feeling when they go from hating math, to actually enjoying taking challenging math courses. I've had students that hated math when I met them, and after we worked tog... ... More

"All-Around Tutor Specializing in Math and Computer Science"

Hi there, my name is Kevin (but my friends call me Sky) and I'm an undergraduate computer science major. I do not have formal tutoring experience, but I have explained concepts and how to solve a problem to friends before. However, I am extremely patient and I will not mind attempting to reword or finding a different way to explain a topic. I love tutoring because I love sharing my knowledge with others. I do not have a formal lesson plan, so I suppose I would be more of a "homework help" tu... ... More

Luis has been, for me, one of the greatest writing teachers of my entire scholastic career. Writing was always a difficult topic for me to fully grasp because it is not a fact subject. By that, I simply mean that two different teachers with the same paper may grade it completely different. Luis, taught me a way to write, that teaches the core fundamentals of writing while still keeping my unique style. Not only does he teach exceptionally well but he has never wasted a moment of any of our time together. I can honestly say he is one of the few teachers that wont try to take up time just to get to the end of a class. this means, if we finish our session early not only will he leave at that time, but he only charges for the time we spent together learning. Because of his teachings not only will I score much higher on the S.A.T writing portion of the test but I will be a much better writer throughout my life.
Alex helped me better understand the differences between qualitative vs. quantitative research. He was patient and helped me find better ways to learn the different research study designs. Would use him again if needed.
Albert is a very helpful person. After a lesson with him, the subject makes sense and the holes that I had before are cleared. He also makes organic interesting even though I have no interest in the subject matter. In addition, he is flexible and comes to a lesson on time.
