A former broadcaster and high school English and French teacher, I have tutored students from grades 1 through college in reading, phonics, written expression, arithmetic, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, French, SAT prep, GRE prep, and study skills.
I have specialized in helping kids who are below their potential in language, some of whom were severely dyslexic. All have made impressive gains. I attribute my success to the Orton-Gillingham (OG) approach, which uses multi-sensory strategies... ... More

Kelly gave me the courage I needed to do the problems, the way she explains and the knowledge she has allow me to understand chemistry on a better level. I felt more confident in understanding the material much better. She didn't even watch the clock like most tutors, we just kept on solving problems until she felt I understood them. She was the best I have experience thus far. I thanked her over and over for helping me. She was GREAT.

My first visit with Christie was really great and that the reason I gave her a 5 stars. She was very patient with me throughout the session. Christie is very knowledgeable about writing and that the reason I am keeping her to continue to help with my research proposal. Her skills in writing is really amazing. She communicates with me alot through email, text messages. Another great thing I admire about Christie is that her mind is not about making money, instead she more focus on teaching me how to be a better writer. So far so good.

I contacted Steve when my daughter was failing Honors Geometry with only 3 weeks of school left. He met with her twice a week and helped her bring her grade up to a C which was practically a miracle. Lauren understood things Steve taught her that she had been confused about for weeks. Her grades on her subsequent quizzes and tests were all A's or B's and subsequently her 4th quarter grade improved. Lauren's confidence also soared and, while we still don't know her final exam grade, she seemed very confident before and after the exam so we're hoping for good things. Steve was considerate and encouraging and Lauren really responded to his tutoring. I would recommend Steve to anyone who needs help with math. I think you'll be very pleased with the results.

Madeline taught me some great ACT tips and deciphered each ACT problem thoroughly. Very outgoing and friendly as well. She is a prime example of "tutor material". I recommend her for any teenagers looking for a tutor!
