"Not Your Grandma's Tutor for Elementary Reading, Phonics, and Math"
I have worked as a Kindergarten teacher for 3 years. The curriculum included teaching alphabet recognition and writing, numbers 1-20 recognition and writing, phonics and reading simple books. When my children reached school age I was very active in helping them with their schoolwork as well as helping in the classroom. I worked with their teachers in creating classroom teaching aids, correcting papers, and working with small groups of students who needed extra reinforcement in reading, pho... ... More
As easy as it would be for him to just give me the answers to my problems he makes sure I do them myself. I have learned so much in the last month on this subject because of his help. I would also like to add that when I tried to do this subject without help I was getting C’s on most of my assignments. I am now getting A’s on my quizzes and I don’t see any reason why I will not be able to do the same on my exam.

"Math and Physics Tutor"
Through years of studying myself and helping others to learn, I have found that the ultimate test of understanding a subject is teaching it. The best way to teach a concept is to know it so thoroughly in and out that any of the myriad misunderstandings a student might have can be thwarted with a change in approach. A particular nuance of a subject that presents a problem for the student can be something the teacher had taken for granted and never closely examined their self. Thus, teaching gi... ... More

"Retired teacher of Biology, Zoology, Chemistry, Anatomy, Physiology"
After completing my Ph.D. in Physiology from Temple Medical School, I enjoyed a career of teaching in a four year college, two different community colleges, and a private high school. During my 15 years teaching honors level science in a private school, I tutored many students outside of class and was able to minimize the number of student failures to only 2.
I love teaching and since retiring, I love doing individual tutoring. I have gained much satisfaction from helping students underst... ... More
I really enjoyed my lessons with Scott. Since I'm a beginner, the lesson focused on the fundamentals such as the lighting, layout, object placement, and depth. Scott did an excellent job explaining the concepts which has completely changed the way I approach a subject. I definitely recommend Scott-he's clearly passionate about photography and was an excellent teacher.

"High School Honors Physics Tutor"
I taught high school students honors physics and enjoyed every minute seeing there faces light up with my demonstrations. I taught examples from real life to my students and used an engineering background to aid in their understanding of these principles.
