Robert was prompt, on time and very friendly, my daughter thought he was helpful, funny, very patient and what I liked was that he kept teaching by asking questions and making her think and come up with the answer and if she did not know, he would throw hints so she would come to it by herself. We are very happy, hoping Robert will instill the confidence of learning Italian easier and hopefully fun for her.

"Italian and Spanish teacher"
Spanish and Italian
I have been teaching Spanish and Italian on the college level for nearly 15 years. It is ironic that I was told, after having taken a standardized aptitude test on language in junior high school, I could never learn another language. Apparently, the test was faulty. It is my conviction that anyone can learn another language if you have a strong desire to study, a willingness to make sounds that may seem odd at first and a lot of patience.

"Whatever It Takes To Help"
The more I tutor, the more I believe that everyone has something to teach and something to learn. I learn from my students how to teach them. I went to college during The Sixties and bring the passion of that period to each tutoring session. With careers in newspaper copyediting and computer programming, I can help you with your writing or your math. I love beating the system and will show you how to conquer the SAT. I owe alot to my Maker and love to share what I've learned from His Wo... ... More
It was extremely difficult to find a tutor for the level of math I am currently taking which includes multivariate calculus and optimization. Matt, however, is great at explaining these tougher concepts, as well as, linking them to more simple ones. Without Matt, I would be incapable of reinforcing what I learn in class and I plan on continuing to use his help to this end. Anyone feeling hopeless trying to search for a college level math tutor? Your search ends here!

"Tutor in Finance/Economics/NASD Series 7"
I'd like to become certified in accounting. I feel like much of the accounting seen in business courses is managerial or financial accounting, which is more finance than accounting, in my opinion. Ive passed the 3 levels of the CFA exam, of which a large part of each is financial statement analysis.
The areas of accounting that are not a part of traditional finance, or the CFA program, would be more on the tax/estate/putting together an accounting journal/etc side of things. I have no interest in tutoring in them anyway. But for the financial and managerial accounting, which are grouped on t ... More
Jon was able to accurately access the situation with my son's lack of motivation versus lack of learning ability. Unfortunately, he is unable to help us address our specific situation at this time; but not for lack of trying!

My daughter loved the first lesson with Robert. He came prepared with some worksheets and was able to see where my daughter needs to improve. He also gave me some supplemental materials that were very helpful. He is a very friendly and professional tutor. I would highly recommend him.
