"Dedicated, hardworking, and passionate English teacher"

I am currently a high school English teacher in a catholic high school with a diverse demographic of students. I enjoy the smaller population at my school because I get more one-on-one time with the students, much like the experience of tutoring. Before becoming a teacher, I had tutored and substitute taught in Baltimore for a few years and really grew to love the learning process when working with smaller groups of students. My strengths lie in writing, proofreading, research, and analyzing... ... More

"Patient and Knowledgeable Literature, History, and Spanish Tutor"

As a life-long learner and teacher, I am passionate about helping others in my areas of expertise. My paid and unpaid experiences as a teacher are an example of that. In the past year I have been a teacher to about 130 students, but teaching and tutoring someone one-on-one is far more enjoyable. I am dedicated and creative, and I will use all the strategies at my disposal to ensure my students understand and learn a topic well. Not only am I a native Spanish speaker, but I have also learned... ... More

Cheryl G. is a very patient and encouraging tutor who targets her tutoring strategy to the specific needs of her students. She is very patient, reliable, and works very hard with her students so that they show academic progress. She creates different learning activities such as, computer learning, matching card games, and math worksheets to achieve well-rounded tutoring sessions. I highly recommend Ms. Cheryl G. for parents who want a consistent, reliable, experienced, and effective tutor for their child's academic progress.

I am extremely happy with Taylor's tutor It is a great match. I have had tutors for Taylor in the past, but they have not been as effective.

"Get the quality of a certified teacher in the comfort of your home!"

As a teacher, I work with more and more students each year that have been diagnosed with ADD/ADHD. I am familiar with the kinds of accommodations that they require in addition to the most effective teaching strategies that will help students with ADD/ADHD become the best that they can be! On a personal note, my younger brother and several of my nephews have been diagnosed with ADD/ADHD, so I have been "teaching" children with ADD/ADHD ever since I was a child myself. With patience and dedication, I have seen how a child with ADD/ADHD can fulfill their maximum potential and even surpass th ... More

One of the best tutors in Arizona! I highly recommend him for Python and Java programs. Couldn't ask for better tutor.
Anna began tutoring my 6 year old daughter, Addison, in the middle of the second quarter. Within that month and a half, her language arts grade increased 3 points and her reading level went up 4 levels. She is patient with Addison when she becomes antsy after a long day. Anna always comes on time and with a selection of books for Addison to read. She assessed Addison's strengths and weaknesses quickly, and developed a personalized study guide for her to use each week. Anna is an amazing tutor. She has become a part of our family. Addison looks forward to her coming each week and would rather study with Anna than me. We can't express our thanks to Anna for her dedication to Addison's academic success. Our family would be lost without her!
The best instruction to give anyone is to practice. Steven was a big help, and I would request his help again!
