Jonathon is open to suggestion concerning the tutoring session and does not waste time with chit chat. He is prepared and patient. Zero ego, he explains concepts in a simple manner without being condescending. Very punctual! Zero drama. He arrives early and when given the chance he even prepares notes about the lesson that I can take with me. His demeanor is very even, he can explain a single concept repeatedly without becoming impatient. I always feel comfortable asking questions and never feel as if my questions are stupid or beneath his intelligence. I simply cannot recommend this tutor enough, well worth the investment.

"Math, Test Prep (SAT, ACT, GED, ASVAB), and Homeschool Tutor"
Mathematics is often so confusing—and so boring. But it doesn't have to be that way! The problem is that most people were just told what to do, but never told why. Math is not some mysterious subject that only a few can comprehend. It's just another element of knowledge in general: as with any area, practice makes perfect, but that practice needs to be guided by an expert. No one gains mastery in any subject without guidance. I can help you unlock the mystery of mathematics and get you ... ... More
After having a study session with Samuel, I couldn't go without noting the luck I have had meeting him. He is a teacher I always wished to have. Math being my weak point, Sammy wouldn't give up for hours until I got the area cleaned up. He is always enthusiastic and caring about his job and students. He says that if he wasn't caring he wouldn't be doing his job. And that is what makes him a uniquely great teacher - he makes sure the student understands, no matter what. He adopts his way of teaching according to each student and his/her abilities. I recommend Sammy with all my heart.

"Dedicated to the Teaching of Latin"
I fell in love with Latin in the ninth grade and have never lost my infatuation with the language or the people. I have been amazed by the orderliness of the language, the culture of the people, the mystery of the religion, the changing of governments, and the impact of the Latin language which still touches us today.
I have a Master's from College of Notre Dame - Baltimore and a degree in Latin from Millesville University of PA. I retired from teaching two years ago and have greatly misse... ... More
