"SQL, EXCEL TUTOR. 20 years in analytics, now teaching and tutoring"

After twenty years in the business world working as an operational analyst, I have left my cubicle behind and have pursued education. I really have made a great move for myself as I love tutoring and teaching; I get to work from my home and I get to do what I really enjoy doing. Working in Analytics, I worked heavily with data and databases. I think I have spent most of my working career in MS Excel and have done innumerable things with it. In my work, I was always searching for answers, and ... ... More

"Ivy League Grad Specializing in Chemistry, Statistics, and Economics"

My lifelong love of learning inspires my passion for tutoring. I enjoy the intellectual challenge of explaining difficult material or expressing concepts in multiple ways, but I enjoy the satisfaction of seeing a student finally grasp a concept with which they struggled even more. At Dartmouth, I studied biological chemistry and economics. My coursework included advanced classes in chemistry and economic theory as well as empirical research in economics. This gives me a strong foundation in t... ... More

Keith has helped my daughter turn her grade around in honors pre-calculus. Not only has he helped her grasp the concepts, but has also given her confidence in her math abilities. He is very intelligent yet not intimidating. He usually asks her what she is working on before the session so he can plan ahead. He goes out of his way to provide additional supports such as library books. In addition, after completing a problem, he has her explain what she did and what she learned. This reinforces the concepts in a positive way.
The reason why I picked Roger was because from a review I read: "he figures out how you learn and he teaches to that". Sure enough, this is exactly what he did for me as well. Before we met, he asked me about myself and what I wished to accomplish? Upon our meeting he had a prepared lesson plan, with clear defined objectives based upon our previous conversation. In just 2 hours he taught me more about Excel than I learned in the past 2 years. In a short period of time Roger was able to determine my learning style (something that I have not been able to figure out for myself in over 40 years). He also presented me with a learning guide that I can use to assist me in understanding my own learning style better and actual things that I can do to maximize my time in learning new material more efficiently and effectively. Roger has a PhD in education and his passion is trying to combine Business Analytics into education. I also learned Roger is a a graduate of The U.S. Military Academy at West Point. I could not have come up with a better teacher if I was able to design one myself!
