Feeling extremely overwhelmed this semester, to have to get through precalculus seemed impossible. My lessons with Monica are incredibly helpful, and fun. I feel like when we're done I become more and more confident in my ability to speak Spanish and less frightened to speak the language to other people. We listen to music in Spanish, read books in Spanish, and of course, speak in Spanish. She's incredibly intelligent; fluent in three languages, and she's also very knowledgeable in history. Monica simply makes learning Spanish easy and more enjoyable than simply reading from my Spanish textbook.
The best aspect about our lessons for me is that Monica allows me to construct our lessons how I would like them to be constructed. She's open to my ideas, and open to do anything that I suggest in terms of what we should talk about or do that day. She essentially allows me to learn Spanish how I would like to learn it, which is great because I like to do everything to learn Spanish.
To be honest, I'm surprised that there aren't students waiting in line at her door when I arrive for my lesson. Thanks Monica, for everything you've taught me, and for everything that you will teach me.
