"Any level mathematics tutor"

I am currently a teacher, and I absolutely love working with students one on one to get them to the level they need to be at mathematics wise. I have been tutoring family members and personal friends for the past 8 years. I currently have a Bachelors degree in Finance and a Masters degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. In May, I will finish my second Masters degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with concentrations in Mathematics and Education. I am also highly qualified in the st... ... More

We have been very pleasantly surprised by Annette's approach in teaching our 6th grade son. She was very organized from the time we interviewed her. She assessed the way he learns, she harnessed his attention and engaged him in a manner that left him feeling good about himself and wanting to learn and prove to himself he can do more!

"Teaming up for Academic Success"

Hello parents and students! Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to tell you a little about myself. School can be an exhilarating as well as a downright frustrating endeavor to embark on, particularly when the subject is difficult and the obstacles seem insurmountable. It is for this reason that I realize the gravity of trust that is placed in the hands of a tutor to provide some much needed insight, tools and techniques for learning, and sometimes just a person with whom to commiserate... ... Dr. K seems to have a sincere desire to have kids really "learn" how to get the most out of their math. He teaches them to do things that will help them get better at working problems, not just memorizing for a temporary time. Dr. K gives them tricks to help them do better on tests, as well as regular homework. I am really glad that we found him when we did. Maybe it will make it easier on my son so that he is not intimidated by geometry and will learn to love it!

"Dr. K - All Math and Sciences"

I have taught high school sciences (IPC, Chemistry, Physics) and college algebra and math classes over the past decade. I have also taught college Physics courses while a graduate student. I have chosen to focus on high school teaching for one simple reason - that is where the problem lies! Too many students are not prepared for any of the highest-paying college degrees (13 of top 15 degrees have the word "engineering" in them and the other two require high levels of math!). I have success... ... More

"Math, Physics and Engineering Tutor"

I received my Bachelor's of Science degree in Civil Engineering in 2015 from The University of Texas at Tyler. During the latter years of working on my degree, I privately tutored courses in advanced level math (calculus), science (physics), and several engineering courses. Currently, I am working on my Master's of Science in Structural Engineering online through The University of Texas at Arlington. My hope is to one day become a professor at a major university, and I feel that tutoring ... ... More

I would highly recommend Harvey as a tutor for high school age students. He is currently tutoring my daughter in math/science for ACT improvement and college readiness. Harvey works on the specific areas my student has trouble with. He is prepared with examples and works through various types of problems at each session - some ACT prep, some homework help, some general skills. Harvey is flexible in the materials to be covered and in scheduling. He is well-educated in the subject matter, prompt and reliable. It is a pleasure working with him.

"An effective teacher with a sense of humor!"

My experience with discrete math includes design of logic circuits using Boolean algebra for encoding and decoding of binary states in electronics. I also designed an artificial intelligence program for playing Black Jack as part of a college course project. I later studied the application of truth tables to analyze digital electronics faults in audio equipment. ... More

My daughter just started working with Charles and was very happy with her impression of her tutor. Looking forward to working with him in the future.
For those looking for any level of French tutoring, I would highly recommend Carole. As Carole grew up in France, she brings a wonderful perspective on cultural nuances as well as the geographical differences in the French language. She has an excellent grasp on the technical aspects of the language as well as the colloquial aspects. Carole is very pleasant to work with; is patient with the learning process as well as with the explanations often needed; is flexible and is consistently supportive throughout your progress. Beyond simply teaching from an instructional guide, Carole also tries to identify other ways to increase exposure to the French language including a book club she runs, magazines, internet sites, radio links, and other such modalities. If you ever want to consider learning French, I would highly recommend you contact Carole.
