"Patient and Knowledgeable"
Salve: Hello. I taught myself to read, write and speak Latin fluently, about twenty years ago. When
I decided to go to college, about forty years after high school, my alma mater, Montclair State required
SAT tests. My perfect scores in Latin and English allowed me to waive about two years of intro. courses.
I'll teach you everything I know: Latin, English, whatever you need. I didn't "game" the test or take any prep. courses. I'll teach you how to read critically and respond. Mr. Ramo... ... More

"Experienced Spanish Tutor"
Hi! I'm Amy and I've been teaching high school Spanish for 12 years. I absolutely love it and truly enjoy the time spent in my classroom. Over the years, I've tutored students individually and in groups in many different subjects but focusing mostly on Spanish and English (as a second/foreign language). My other passion is travel and I've been fortunate enough to tie teaching and tutoring into that as well. I've spent the last 10 summers in other countries, most years doing some form of t... ... Currently I work as a part time Adjunct Professor at the local community college where I teach Spanish and sub for my German and French colleagues. I also tutor high school and middle school kids regularly. Additionally, since I am a Certified Spanish Teacher for the public schools, I work as a "sub" at 5 of the "magnet schools" of the county where I... ... More

We could not have wished for a better tutor! Thrilled is not even accurate! We know we will be speaking Spanish fluently in less time than we imagined, but hope for a long tutor-student relationship with Liz.

"Patient, effective tutor specializing in: English/ESL and Spanish"
I have been tutoring adults, teens and children in English, ESL, Spanish for over 7 years, as a stay-at-home mom and continuing when I returned to complete my degree. In addition to a flexible tutoring schedule, I currently teach Spanish and Art to grades Pre K thru 8 and have subbed for several Monmouth County school districts. In the meantime, I'm busy raising my teenage son and working toward obtaining a master's degree.
Thanks to a strong grasp of grammar in both English and foreign lang... ... More

My son has had tutoring sessions with Dr. R. for college physics and calculus II. According to my son, Dr. R. is knowledgeable and effective resulting in solid classroom performance. When it comes to the math and science courses, my son always asks for Dr. R.

Thanks to Amie, both of my daughter's have improved their grades. I have a freshman and sophomore who were struggling in honors level Chemistry, Algebra II, and Spanish. Their grades have improved all to Amie's credit. She has been very patient, held them accountable, and most importantly she has taught them a different approach to studying. My girls look up to Amy and see her as a Mentor. I highly recommend Amie she has restored a much needed sense of accomplishment and success.
