I had no understanding at all of excel when I met with Terry. I really liked the fact that he started with teaching me to understand the basic tool bar of excel. I now know that excel is a very intense program and has so many features. By having this as a beginning to understanding the program I feel I will be able to move forward much better since he explained exactly what I was looking at on the screen and now it is not so confusing. I would definitely recommend him as a tutor.

I have met with Jim two times now and after both sessions I feel like I can handle statistics instead of being completely scared of it! I am taking my course online so I miss out on the face to face interaction or at least having someone explain a little more what each concept is trying to say. Jim is great at answering my questions and also with providing me other examples that help explain the concept from different angles. You can tell that he knows what he is talking about and is very knowledgeable on the subject and some times that can back fire from a beginner student perspective because the information isn't brought down to the beginner level. He makes it very palatable while not making me feel like I am being talked down to.

Lastly, my ability to teach adults in mathematics (especially Praxis, which deals with practical adult lea ... More

My son has had just two sessions with Eli and already I'm seeing big changes in his math skills. I asked him yesterday if he felt like it was making a difference and his response was, "Oh yeah... HUGE!!" It's great to see his confidence growing as a result too!
Thanks, Eli!!

"Mechanical Engineer Wants to Help You Succeed!"
In school I took Ordinary Differential Equations during my undergraduate program, and in my Master's program we covered the multiple approaches to solving Partial Differential Equations, which included solving the equations discretely by writing computer programs. Many engineering problems require solving differential equations to describe physical systems, so I have gotten a lot of practice at solving these problems to describe physical problems. To tutor differential equations, I would gauge where the student is at skill level wise, and then bring the student up to speed to where they need t ... More
