My tutoring clients tell me that I do a good job of explaining things to them in a way that makes sense. I individualize instruction according to the student's needs, strengths, and weaknesses. I can work with your materials, and in many subjects, I have helpful materials of my own.

Our child is very bright but needs a little extra help in all subjects. Having a tutor like Christina, who not only can share her knowledge in many subjects, but also her passion for learning, is exciting! We couldn't be happier that we found Christina!

"Master's Level Tutor"
Dear Students,
I would like to take a brief moment to introduce myself. My name is Christina and I am a highly energetic learning-lover. I have lived in or traveled to Germany, Dominican Republic, Japan, Mexico, Haiti, Jamaica, and India.
I take a radical approach to learning. I firmly believe that if you can connect what you are learning about to something you absolutely love, you will begin to appreciate the process of learning. For example, I was the type of student who thought history ... ... More

Regarding my educational background, I have taken several courses in special education, including research and understanding about ADD/ADHD and how to successfully teach students with this problem (providing small tasks/"chunks", arranging desks away from high traffic areas and away from doors and windows where distractions are greatest). I have also been a full-time teacher and tutor for students who have this diagnosis and have experience in logging their times and behavior as it relates to the diagnosis. ... More

Very prompt, very patient! I was very impressed with how well she worked with my teen age sons! Rosa Lilia has a wonderful way of getting her students involved and engaged! I am very very happy with her and my boys are as well. 5 out of 5 stars absolutely!

My son started off in French 3 this year with an average of 60%. After working with Valentina for 2 months, his average is up to an 90%. Valentina is always pushing my son to a point which keeps him engaged in the lessons. She is always in a great mood and can easily cheer anybody up. Her attitude towards learning would make anybody strive to do well. We are so appreciative of everything Valentina has done!
