Ms. Vernette is a gifted tutor. Since her first tutoring session, she has helped my daughter improve her reading skills for decoding, fluency and comprehension. My daughter is a sixth grader with dyslexia and processing difficulties and requires not just any tutor. Ms. Vernette has several years working with students with similar needs and she knows how to help. She started with an assessment, then went right to work providing customized lessons for my child. She provides challenging, yet fun homework that is reflective of the school's curriculum. In just two months time, my daughter's reading has improved which in turn boosts her confidence. In addition to her teaching expertise, Ms. Vernette is a patient and nurturing person. Her natural mentoring ability shines when she's with my daughter.
