Joshua was really helpful, he was able to help me on a project I'm working on for finance. To be honest, I like his method of tutoring. He seems to know finance well, and I'm able to understand what he's teaching. Thanks.

"Experienced, Excellent Tutor My Record Speaks For Itself"
I have played the piano for over ten years, having started when I was six years old. During the first several years, I was certified through level 5 with the certificate of merit system, but stopped participating in that system when I switched piano teachers. I have played for various functions, including accompanying both solo vocalists and choirs, as well as a band. In addition, I have tutored beginning piano students at Westminster College.
I focus a great deal on technique, and in early learners the ability to read music. I don't focus a lot on ear training or improvisation, nor on the ab ... More

Barbara was able to work with my son on very short notice. She helped him work through some problems that he had difficulty understanding and even emailed some additional information after the session was over.

Went over a decent amount of calculus review (as much that could be fit into just two hours!). Made great use of time and got very refreshed with the material I asked to be tutored on. Look forward to another session when possible.

"Ranked among Houston's top 3 tutors"
I have transformed students into scholars for seven years straight. I have worked with students from 3rd grade level up until graduate level, spanning from elementary math and science courses to advanced calculus. My six years of not only being a tutor but also being a friend and mentor have helped me understand student's needs and best approach towards better comprehension of arduous student curriculum.
If given the right tools and motivation, everyone has the power to excel, and that is o... ... More

My son was reluctant to have a tutor help him in his Calculus class, even though his grade has been steadily slipping. He finally said, yes, and I could not be happier with the results. Roger worked well with him as they went through the problems, and helped him have a better understanding of the concepts. The session went so well that my son agreed to have Roger tutor him once a week.

Amanda is very prompt and shows up on time. She is incredibly knowledgeable about Accounting and Finance and knows how to relay the information in my material so that I understand it. She always makes sure I understand the last problem we did before moving on to the next. She is very friendly and I find her style of teaching very soothing and encouraging as I am able to be myself and absorb the material at my own pace. She encourages me to speak up if I think she is going too fast or if I don't understand something so that I don't feel overwhelmed as I am learning. She is a whiz with Excel and definitely knows her way around Accounting and Finance problems.
I would definitely recommend her for tutoring if you need help with Accounting and Finance.

John is very flexible and was willing to come spend just one hour with me prior to an exam. He sat patiently as I stepped through the problems once he taught me to solve them independently, which I appreciated. He is a great tutor!

I am a theoretical physicist, a maker, and an educator. I began studying mathematics and physics because I wanted to find out about how the world works. I studied mathematics and physics during my undergraduate training and then went on to grad school to earn my Ph.D. in physics. I tutored frequently during this time, mostly college students, some high school students and a couple of elementary school students. "Experienced & Knowledgeable Math Tutor UGA Grad"
Hello! I am a (somewhat recent) graduate from the University of Georgia with a B.S. in Mathematics currently working in the financial sector. While in my undergraduate, I became aware that office hours were a necessity with certain subject areas. You see, while class was sufficient to cover the required teaching material, there was simply enough time to ensure that every student was retaining the information the way they should. Much in the same fashion, I believe that having the extra time t... ... More

From the moment we met Ed we were put at ease. He is a very caring and positive person. My 14yearold daughter has been struggling with math for some time. Ed has stepped in and in a very positive and uplifting manner is helping her to overcome her struggles. He is teaching my daughter to organize her approach to her math problems, which is giving her more confidence. He is not only very knowledgeable about what he is teaching, but about HOW to teach. We highly recommend Ed!!

Very patient and kind in helping student get on track and organized. On time. Follows up on lessons. Took a practical approach to student's issues. Follow up has been amazing so far.

So happy I found Rovenna she has helped me SO much with the GRE (specifically we are working on math). As a nonmath person she makes the problems really easy, is very easy to work with, and teaches me great tips and tricks. Also is very flexible with schedule! Highly recommend!

I had to schedule my daughter's lesson on very short notice. She really needed assistance with her chemistry midterm exam. Adam responded to my initial message very promptly and was kind enough to switch his schedule around to accommodate our complicated schedule.
He has a calm and patient approach that engaged my daughter's attention. He knows the material inside out. But, more importantly, he is able to communicate and explain it to others in an organized manner. He jotted down clear notes about what they reviewed and, at the end of the class, Adam gave my daughter a plan of what she needs to review for the test. My daughter found this extremely helpful. We both felt that Adam deeply cares for his students and loves to teach. He also understood that my daughter is a visual learner and gave her study tips geared towards this specific learning style.
It was very fortunate to have such an excellent learning experience. My daughter said that she understands the material so much better after this one session and has a clear roadmap for what she needs to review.
A superb tutor!
