"BU Med Graduate Specializing in STEM Education"
My passion for teaching comes from a longstanding commitment to helping kids and young adults. After deciding to pursue a career in pediatric medicine, I found that teaching was a great way for me to interact more with kids and develop my communication skills with them and their parents. I am currently studying to take the MCAT and will later apply to schools this spring, but in the meantime I want to continue to work with kids and young adults to help them succeed and remind myself of why I... ... "Patient and Experienced Finance/Accounting/GRE/GMAT/SAT/Physics tutor."
I have grown up in a very competitive environment in India. This invariably required on my part to put an extra effort to stay ahead. I got admitted to the one the leading research colleges in India with scholarship followed by a fully funded Masters degree in Finance from Portugal sponsored by EU. I then joined as the Ph.D. fellow in Hungary but had to drop out because of personal reasons. All these milestones required on my part to prepare for competitive exams like IITJEE (much like SAT) ... ... More

"Future Doctor/Current Tutor"
I am a current MD/MBA student with a background in biochemistry and psychology. I graduated Magna cum laude from Carson Newman University's honors program.
My experience with tutoring began during high school when I volunteered during my junior and senior years one day per week to work with Algebra 1 and 2 students in the hour before school started. My role was to answer individual questions or help walk students through a problem. I also had the opportunity to teach in a small group sett... ... More

Marcus is one of the best Physics resources, though he is equally good in other areas too. The unique expertise he brings into the tutoring session is, he’s instantly ready to work with the student and jump start the session on the topic of interest.
My daughter was nervous about specific areas in her AP Physics and he provided her the confidence and taught her the best way to handle problems. He engages the student in such a way, they start liking the challenging problems and resolving it.
Apart from the tutoring sessions, he offers help whenever it is needed and is very much reachable to the student for any doubts and clarifications. He brings in the sophistication to the tutoring matching up the interest of the student and can guide any problems the student may come across with a remote session via his iPad. Indepth teaching with modern methods is Marcus's specialty.
I would gladly recommend Marcus with confidence to anyone who feels challenged with their subject.

Patient, smart, good approaches. Would have been nice to clearly define how long the lesson would have been in advance.

"Experienced GMAT Tutor, 99th percentile score"
I believe the best way to improve your score is to understand and master the subject matter on the test. While pure practice and some basic tricks can give a small boost, in order to achieve a significant increase in score, it is necessary to learn the topics covered on the test and the principles behind them. I use a program that covers and exhaustive list of GMAT topics and teach my students in a manner that gives them the knowledge, skills and flexibility to successfully tackle test questi... ... More

I went through four tutors prior to stumbling upon Enos. They were all amiable, professional and very knowledgeable in their respective fields. However, they lacked the skills to teach in a cogent manner. Enos, like the others, was amiable, professional and knowledgeable, but what made him stand out from the rest of the pack was his uncanny ability to help me conceptualize otherwise difficult lessons. Enos has a gift for teaching that defies words. He breaks down into easytolearn concepts otherwise brainbusting mathematics problems. I have no doubts that because of Enos I'll be able to earn the GRE score I need to be admitted into bluechip doctoral programs at top tier schools like Harvard, Michigan, Princeton, Stanford and Columbia.

Diana O. is a very dedicated and hardworking Spanish tutor who has helped my son so much. She is easy to work with on scheduling and is very kind. Thank you, Diana!

R. Bruce was an excellent fit for my children who both have been struggling in Math. He shared relevant life experiences that gave them confidence for understanding math going forward. In a short amount of time, he pinpointed gaps that need to be filled and gave my kids skills to work on to help them gain mastery. I highly recommend him!

Carlos calm demeanor makes it easy to learn. My daughter was very happy with her Algebra lesson and looks forward to her test.

Christina has been tutoring our granddaughter in Geometry throughout her freshman year in high school. It has been a difficult class for Kay but with Christina's help, she's making it through! Christina has really help her understand the concepts and when to apply them. To assure Kay's understanding of what she's learned, Christina has her explain how she solved the problem what she did and why she did it. When reviewing homework errors, Kay is able to identify her mistakes just by explaining it to Christina. Christina can spot the holes in Kay's logic that are leading to incorrect answers. Christina will go over and reinforce the concepts until Kay has a full grasp of the lesson.
Taking test creates a lot of anxiety for Kay but working with Christina has really increased her testtaking confidence. Christina reviews all the lessons prior to the test to assure Kay understands all concepts that will be part of the exam. In fact, Christina has helped Kay increase her level of confidence is all aspects of her school work.
We plan to have Christina tutor Kay next year, too. Great tutor, great confidence builder!!
