She taught me to read movie review articles of NYT that was very helpful for me to get a deep understanding of English in description of various objects, feelings and situations, etc. By doing so I learned useful words, their nuances with the words I already know which I would have missed without her tutoring. She is very patient and knowledgeable. I feel I can learn a lot from her to improve my English skills in reading, writing and speaking. Thanks to her tutoring!

Aliza is an awesome tutor. She is clear, organized and patient throughout her lessons. Aliza is not only knowledgeable about what makes a quality GRE essay, but she also knows a great deal about preparing outstanding college entrance essays. Because of Aliza, my daughter has become a more competent and confident writer who is better prepared for graduate school.

I recently received my PhD in English, and am currently teaching at a local community college. I have been fortunate, however, to have always made teaching my career. Whether it was adjunct level work while writing my dissertation, or my several years experience as a NYC public school teacher, I have always been passionate about my work. Knowledge is power, and the key to knowledge is to developing the critical thinking skills that translate to all areas of learning.... ... More

Our son is thoroughly enjoying his lessons with Ted. Enjoying lessons is something you only wish for, but with Ted, they are a reality. Words from our son: "He is tough on you but positively pushes you. Very encouraging. He is not like the average teacher, more inspirational and motivating. Very cool when you make a mistake, he shows you how to do it and moves on. Doesn't make you feel dumb." We would highly recommend Ted!
Waleed was a great tutor. He was patient and explained concepts even when I didn't understand it the first time around. It was clear he wanted to make sure I understood the concepts instead of just telling me how to do the problems. I had a wonderful time being tutored and feel more confident about taking my exam after the lesson.
Our daughter has always done fine at math, but she's never had a really easy time and after a year of wrestling a bit with pre-calc, we decided a tutor would be a good idea as she took on AP Calc. Matt has been just perfect -- patient, clear, and encouraging, explaining things so well that (admittedly in combination with having a really good teacher at school) our daughter considers Calculus "no big deal," and has been getting a straight-A. She's even said she "liked Calculus" once or twice, and after last year I never thought I'd hear those words from her. Thank you, Matt!
