I have taught at public schools for over twenty years. The majority of this time was spent as a social science and special education teacher at the high school level, where I supervised a staff of four adults and instructed ten to fifteen students on a daily basis. These youth had a variety of challenges ranging from mental retardation, autism, learning disability, ADHD, orthopedic impairments, behavior problems, and seizure disorders.
