10 Groton Music Tutors and Lessons

Learning to read music or becoming competent at playing a musical instrument is something that can bring a lot of joy, nevertheless, it can prove to be difficult, and this a good reason why you should give some serious thought to Groton music lessons. Getting private music lessons is one way in which you can gain more confidence in using a new instrument or when the time comes to learn to read sheet music. There are a lot of advantages to gaining access to private music lessons, and even if you are not learning a new instrument for a school or college exam, you can still benefit from personal tutoring even if you are learning a new instrument for your own personal pleasure and entertainment.

"philosopher linguist"

Hi! My name is Leonard. Besides being a published author in English (my native language), I have years of experience teaching and translating from classical and modern languages. I have been teaching (mostly in Catholic seminaries) since 1994, and so I have good and prolonged teaching experience. I received higher education (Doctoral degree) in Rome, at the Pontifical Biblical Institute and the Gregorian University, and so I speak Italian fairly fluently. I also have many German friends, esp... ... More

"The Language of Music"

Hello! I am a musician - which means I have done a LOT of learning on my own. I have had experience in nearly every field of music, from performing almost any style you can think of, to learning the complexities of music theory and analyzing music from the early Renaissance to "modern" atonal music. I have composed songs for TV and and entire film scores, as well as instrumental music for live performance (including small ensemble jazz and big band jazz, folk, funk, Brazilian, etc). I really... ... More

Mark's expertise in World History, and his patient assistance, helped me pass my online course which determined if I would graduate on time. I strongly recommend him for help with any social studies subjects. He is truly the best!
Phillip L. was my tutor for College level Statistics. He was very knowledgeable about mathematics/Statistics and extremely quick on his mental feet. He was always prepared to take me as far as I was capable of going and further. He is also cool and fun to joke around with. I failed this STAT course last year along with 5 other people in my class alone. This year I made a 89 on the midterm and thanks to Phillip, and I am set-up to ACE the Final tomorrow! I believe that it's important for me to have a tutor that is both capable of teaching me and easy to relate to because I ask a lot of conceptually abstract questions and I don't think anybody but Phillip could have deciphered what I was getting at. Long story short, after two days with Phillip I had grasped the concepts of College Statistics and was able to apply them towards proving/disproving statistical hypothesis. Long story short, Phillip is a GREAT TUTOR and I strongly recommend him.
