"History Buff and Literature Guru"

I attended Norwich University majoring in both history and English. I am a voracious reader and love any form of literature. I took classes such as American History, European History, Medieval History, Russian History, both Classical and Modern Literature, Modern Chinese History, American Government and Politics, and Greek Mythology. I believe in a hands-on and active approach to learning. I find that with problems of memorization, using both red or other brightly colored pens and pacing whil... ... More

Shiraz was instrumental in helping my son prepare for his college freshman year in mechanical engineering. My son decided to pursue this major at the end of his junior year and was quite behind in both calculus and physics. Shiraz patiently tutored my son throughout the summer in both calculus and physics, and my son successully completed college calculas with a B, and is now taking physics and enjoying it. Shiraz does give it his all to make sure the student understands the subject. I highly recommend this professional.

I have completed my teaching license program at UMass Boston and earned my M.Ed degree and a MA license to teach Physics and Math. My involvement in education has been prevalent throughout my engineering career through volunteering at local, regional and state level science fairs as a judge. My teac... ... More

"Experienced teacher all levels "

I am a former professor at Middlebury College, and I now do freelance tutoring and editing. I have taught eighth-graders in Chicago, and college students in California and Vermont. I have worked with migrant workers from Mexico who work on Vermont farms, and with high school students applying for college. I volunteer at my local elementary school reading with a student once a week. I love working with people one-on-one, and watching them progress at their own pace and in their own way. ... ... More
