Mr. L. served as my tutor for about 40 hours worth of sessions, and during each session, he demonstrated that he was a great tutor and knew exactly what he was talking about. Brian helped me record and edit a macro using the built-in Excel tools. Once it was recorded, we walked through the visual basic commands and eliminated the parts that were not relevant or helpful. We also added some visual basic functions that were outside of the recording process - in order to count the number of sheets in the workbook.
I plan to schedule a series of lessons with Brian to increase my comfort level with visual basic programming.
Brian came to the lesson prepared with an overall solution already in hand. He encouraged me to actually complete all the steps, while asking good questions and offering suggestions during the process. He didn't claim to know it all, but he did have good techniques for researching answers.
FUN!
I wasn't as well organized for Brian's second visit, but I did learn how to use the relative addressing toggle and that was a huge win for me.
I am gathering materials for our next lesson which is scheduled in February.
