Katie has tutored my son for about 3 months now and has done a wonderful job. She is so enthusiastic about teaching kids biology. You can tell it truly is her passion. She has a way of keeping it fun and interesting so my son can relate and learn very quickly. She does it by using examples, diagrams and many times finding u tube videos to watch. She goes above and beyond.
I highly reccomend her to anyone whose son or daughter might be struggling or not understanding a concept.

"Harvey Mudd Grad, Kind and Patient Tutor"
Kathryn has discovered that compassion and academic performance are strongly positively correlated (and that the relationship is causal). It is on this foundation that she's built her success as a tutor and the successes of her students.
Kathryn is a professional private tutor and Effective Altruist who, when she's not nerding out about gauge/gravity duality, spends her time helping people understand tough concepts in math, science, English, and critical reading. Too often, she finds that he... ... More

"Creative, Hard Working, Willing and Able to go the Extra Mile! "
I am a recent college graduate from Brigham Young University, Idaho. I have always been the one to help other students understand when they are not able by using different words and descriptions to teach subject matter. I believe in guiding the student to the answer and not just giving it to them, so that they have the opportunity to learn and find confidence that they can figure out the answer on their own. I have always been able to encourage others, so that they are able to achieve more th... ... More

I am currently pursuing my PhD in Computational and Theoretical Chemistry at Stanford University. I graduated from Binghamton University in 2013, where I double majored in Chemistry and Math. I graduated at the top of my class, with a GPA of 3.85 and was in many honors societies, including Phi Beta Kappa. Before beginning my PhD, I spent one year in Florence, Italy on a Fulbright Research Fellowship to conduct chemistry research.

Robert always had time to work with me. Through his tutoring I gained confidence in my ability to get my school work done. Robert worked with me on improving my math skills. After working with Robert my SAT math scores came up 140 points. I also raised my ACT score. I would highly recommend Robert to any parent or student looking to improve on their grades.

Ellen H. is a very good tutor. It was my first quarter in the nursing program and I was having a difficult time in Pathophysiology. Ellen assured me that the beginning is always the hardest and we went over fluid and electrolytes, endocrine and neuro in a couple sessions. If you have any trouble, just ask Ellen because she is able to take things that are complex and break them down so that they're simple and easy to understand. I like how Ellen is able to apply what we're learning to real life because she has lots of clinical experience. I never had a tutor before but I'm glad I reached out to Ellen because she is very supportive and I feel like I can do this! Again, I would like to thank Ellen for being an excellent tutor!

Phaidra is a great tutor. I am new to the area and did not know what to do. I needed a tutor for my daughter in trigonometry asap. She tutored my daughter for 50 minutes one evening and it was the same evening that I contacted her. It was the evening my daughter had a test and my daughter passed the test with an 88%. Yes just one time is all it took. I definitely plan to use her again if I need a tutor. I am so, so, so, so pleased with Phaidra. Thanks a million Phaidra.
