My son is very happy with the calculus BC lessons he receives from Steven. He clearly explains all concepts and never wastes his time. My son sends him the problems he has beforehand and Steven works them out so that during the lesson they are moving as quickly as possible. Also, Steven sends him useful review sheets through email when the lessons are over. I highly recommend Steven as a tutor for Calculus!

"Creative and Patient Math Tutor"
I have been teaching and tutoring more than 20 years in mathematics. I use good listening, simple language, and a sense of humor to make difficult subjects easy to understand and fun by using everyday language and real-world examples. I also have a love for the creative use for technology which allows me to make instructional videos for student remediation. I have benefited from extended time with a large variety of student populations, from College, to high school AP students, to at-risk st... ... More

Lee is excellent at working with my daughter who partly has a Non-verbal Learning Disorder. Currently, Lee is helping her with the writing process and reading comprehension, and has really made a noticeable improvement to my daughter's confidence in these areas. Lee uses a blend of teaching techniques that are both classic and creative that my daughter can respond to. She is also a pleasure to work with.

When the mind is unfocused, it impossible to learn. The first step is to STOP and choose to pay attention deliberately. I have 30 years of "mindfulness' practice that I will teach your child to use. I also have worked with ADD children and adults as part of 25 years teaching public school. The Special Education certificate I have is valid in Mass and NH. I can help.

Louise has been very helpful to my daughter. She has the ability to explain solutions that could not be discussed in class. Very happy with her.

"Certified Teacher, Experienced Tutor, many subjects, especially math"
I have an MEd in Special Ed. I've been a case manager at the High School and Middle School level. Many of my students have been coded with Aspergers or PDD of various sorts. I have worked at a private special ed school in Concord, which specializes in helping students with Aspergers. And I worked for years in the high tech industry, most recently as a technical writer, and worked closely with many adults who were very likely Aspergers. I do "get it". :-) And I know how to communicate and teach students who struggle with other teachers. ... More

Karen is helping our 8th grader with SSAT prep. She was so warm and enthusiastic! At the end of the session our daughter, who had started out a bit apprehensive about the work, was smiling, engaged, and looking forward to the next session.

I enjoy tutoring accounting classes of all types. I personally go beyond simply helping a student memorize accounting principles. I show students how to understand the concepts and how to study properly and effectively. I focus on how to tackle accounting principles accurately by breaking down the concepts in easy to understand, everyday examples. I promote understanding of accounting vocabulary with a "back-to-basics" style. I build confidence by using a very positive, one-on-one approach towards accounting that focuses on a student's strengths and helps them conquer their challenges, on ... More

Had a comprehensive lesson on how to create a simulation from stubbing all the way to execution. Helped me resolve numerous coding bugs and work with pointers which I had a lot of trouble with.

I am a Software Engineer with over 30 years of experience. My expertise is in C/C++ development with full SDLC and Agile experience, from initial concept to deployment. I learned C in 1986 and worked in it for 10 years before moving to C++, which I have been using ever since. I have also taught C at the college level, and I am very comfortable working with students. I also have a very strong math background, for it is used regularly in software development.... ... More

Lisa has really been a terrific tutor for our entering first grader. She's been working with him on strengthening his literacy skills, and brings the right mix of patience and push that he needed. Lisa worked to understand our son's interests and choose books and topics that engaged his imagination and interest, and kept him focused on the task at hand - not the easiest thing to do for a six year old at the end of summer! I'd highly recommend Lisa as a great tutor for elementary students.

"Elementary Reading and Math Skills Support"
When working with the ADD/ADHD students in my class I would work with them one-on-one or in small group. I would present them with a problem and then I would set the timer for them to complete the problem. When first beginning with them they would get a great amount of time to complete one problem. As the year went on they would get shorter amounts of time. The students would also get smaller amounts of work to be done. They were also given time during their work to be able to read or play with a chosen item for a given amount of time and then would have to come back to the task at hand. ... More
