I thought having Sarah as my tutor was great! She breaks down every concept slowly so that I can grasp the concept. The best thing about Sarah was she wasn't in a rush to teach me physics, nor did she look at her watch or cell phone to worry about the time. I can't wait to see Sarah again! Thanks a bunch.

"Knowledgeable Math Tutor"

I am about to graduate from Cal Poly Pomona with a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and a minor in Mathematics. In college, I realized that science especially math was taught more in depth. This is something that helped me understand the conceptual aspects of mathematics very well. I also noticed that professors are always advising to attend office hours and tutoring if needed. As a tutor I try to bring as many learning resources as possible to make the experience enjoyable, of course I am a hand... ... More

Accounting has traditionally been understood as record keeping for purposes of controlling businesses in terms of incomes and expenditures. In working with USC and SMC students in their accounting courses including introduction to Financial Accounting and Intermediate Accounting I have worked to emphasize the non-obvious aspects of accounting that touch beyond profit making; These other aspects have bordered on accounting as a tool for processing information towards critical decision making within organizations. ... JOHN L.

I took the GMAT recently, and attempted to study for it on my own using three different study guides that were loaded with examples, practice problems, and methods. Despite my self-inflicted slavery to my studying, I did not do anywhere near as well as I had hoped I would on the Quantitative section of the test. However, within a few minutes of sitting down with John, I was learning alternative, easier ways to find the answers to problems that had plagued me from Day 1 of studying on my own. I also found myself doing a great deal of material mentally rather than writing it all out. John's teaching methods pulled me out of the black hole of complication brought about by my Kaplan study guides and showed me a simpler, more time-efficient way of finding answers without having an anxiety attack of second-guessing. He's very knowledgeable, patient, encouraging, and great at building understanding and confidence. Great tutor!

"Patient, effective tutor for your most difficult subject"

ADD is not a disease or a defect, and people with ADD are not disabled. They are often frustrated, sometimes embarrassed, and they can become depressed because they are labeled as lazy or irresponsible and their best efforts are judged "not good enough." They live in a world which expects them to act in ways which are difficult for them to manage. Coping with ADD (or ADHD) is a matter of learning habits that most people don’t have to learn, of thinking about and doing things which most people don’t have to think about or do. It's not easy, but nothing worthwhile is easy. The ... More
