My child had the privilege of working with Joy for her tutoring needs. We were so incredibly lucky to find an individual like Joy with her skill set and wealth of knowledge. More importantly, she can TEACH math. Lots of people can DO math, but not many can TEACH it. At the time that Joy began tutoring my child her grade was a 59 in Algebra. Joy really helped get my child caught up and as a result she ended up with a high B in Algebra. Joy is flexible, patient, calm and kind. My child not only enjoyed her as a tutor, but views her as a friend that helped her get through a tough time and never once made her feel inferior. She empowered her to believe that she CAN DO math! We will be using Joy again just to stay on top of the learning curve in years to come.
