I just had my first lesson with John and I was very impressed by his knowledge of the subject and the way he was able to understand my needs during the studies and the material I needed to master. He had also a great patience and gave positive feedback. He answered all my questions and demonstrated a great knowledge on the use of computer related to my studies. If you need a tutor who is knowledgeable, patient and interesting to work with, he is the one!

My daughter stated she has no problem with the tutoring however Ms Gilant seem to have a problem with her scheduling. I spoke with her 2 days after my daughter tutoring and did confirm my daughter would continue tutoring, but we had a discussion on having my daughter 4 hours which I was questioning about 2 hours. I did tell her I would let her know if I can afford 2 or 4 hours. Ms Gilant called back and leave a text to confirm for Wednesday next thing I know she was calling me to tell me I have to choose another tutor, because she already gave that time to someone else. My daughter needs help to pass her regents but I cannot have her deal with someone who is so disorganized with her scheduling.

My daughter was in danger of failing the 5th grade and desperately needed help with math. We enlisted Scott's help a month before the FCAT and he was able work with my daughter so that she understood the concepts needed in order to pass. Not only did she pass the FCAT but his teaching methods were so great that she brought her grade up from an "F" to a "B" in just one grade period!!! Scott is kind, patient and really targets the areas needed for improvement!! For anyone with an elementary or middle school-aged child that need help in math, Scott is definitely a great tutor!!!!! My daughter thinks the world of him and my husband and I are so grateful!!

I met with Matthew a lot in preparation for the GRE, and he definitely helped me brush up on my math skills, verbal strategies, and writing technique. He was very patient, especially on my off days, when I wasn't in the mood for GRE. I improved my GRE score into the range I was hoping for. He's great about figuring out the best way that you learn and working with you in that way. He's also very encouraging and confident in you. If God forbid, I have to take any other test I would refer back to Matthew. He also is easy to make your schedule with and any changes that need to be changed he's very responsive and quick!

"Specialize in prealgebra, algebra 1 & 2 and all subject K - 12"

I believe every student has the potential to excel in academics, once the child's learning style is identified. As a tutor, my unique approach lies in the ability to dissect key concepts so students can first grasp the fundamentals on which they will successfully build the skills necessary to master the subjects they struggle with. My philosophy is that no one is a failure seeing my belief is that, "failure is success turned inside out" and I have proven this by patiently working with each in... ... More
