"Friendly, Fun Writing Tutor!"
I was raised by an English teacher, so I’ve been interested in helping students learn from day one. In college, I tutored English, writing, and ESL as a College Reading and Learning Association tutor, eventually gaining a Level III certification by surpassing 100 hours of one-on-one work with students across disciplines. I also served as a TA for a freshman composition course, an educational studies course, and a nonfiction writing course. As a graduate student, I worked with high schoolers, ... ... More

Andres is a great tutor. He always has a lot of different activities ready for our sessions, so I can practice Spanish in every possible way. I would highly recommend him.

My girlfriend and I took a 2 hour salsa dancing lesson with Sydney this past Valentine's Day weekend. We both started the lesson as beginners, but by the time we wrapped up we were lean, mean, dancing machines! Sydney carefully orchestrated the lesson by teaching us steps in salsa, bachata, and merengue. I'll reluctantly admit that I do have two left feet, but Sydney helped me out by politely correcting my footing each time and getting me back on track. We were really surprised at how much we learned within such a short amount of time and Sydney's patience is to thank. Later on that evening, my girlfriend and I were able to put our new moves into action and went dancing at a Latin club in Chicago. We could not have done it without Sydney!
