My niece is in tutoring with Maureen for high school Spanish II, a subject she attempted to drop prior to tutoring. Maureen is a good tutor she seems committed to helping my niece learn Spanish by taking her time and breaking concepts down. She also uses a variety of tools to teach and help my niece learn. My niece now has more enthusiasm about learning Spanish and she looks forward to her tutoring sessions with Maureen.

"Improve your grades!"
I have been a French and Spanish teacher for 25 years. I especially like to fire my students up to want to learn. One of my favorite activities is travel. It is so much more fun when you can speak the language!
I have also taught English and SAT and have had success with ESOL students. My college minor was Creative Writing.
I look forward to working with you.... ... More

What I like most about tutoring is seeing the “lightbulb“ go off in a student’s eyes when they make a connection and begin to understand the patterns of grammar and sentence structure. I try to make tutoring fun, coming up with real-world and humorous examples, not just because it makes the time go buy more quickly, but because this is a good way to help people to cement concepts in their minds and to apply those concepts when they are on their own or taking a test.
I minored in English an... ... More

Having an undergraduate degree in Political Science, the idea of lab sciences beyond Geology were far too much to comprehend in college. Nevertheless, changing my career from Sales to Nursing, I had to plunge head-first into every science imaginable; especially, the dreaded Chemistry. Completely lost, I seeked out Mrs. Carol's services about three weeks into the course, and it was the greatest decision I could have made. I finished the class with a B within millimeters of an A. I would have been lucky to pass with a D had it not been for her. She made sure I understood every lesson plan before moving on, and being a visual learner, she mapped out every problem to my liking. She even sent more information/problems regarding each topic per my request. Mrs. Carol is extremely patient, supportive, motivating and easy-going. Overall, her students are in great hands. I really can't stress enough how vital her services were in my success. Thank you again, Mrs. Carol!
