"Ellen, Masters in Special Education, great with kids and adults"

I have been a special education teacher since 1988. I even taught at the Lab School of Washington, which is a school that was started by Sally Smith, a former professor at American University and a mother of children with special needs. As a matter of fact, I filled out numerous Conners' Rating Scale requests from parents and doctors for students who were suspected of having these conditions. I helped qualify these students for 504 plans while serving as a Local Screening Chairperson in Fairfax County. I have also written 504 ... More

LeighAnne taught me to understand some more of the content in "!9 Minutes", a book by Jodi Picoult. Like other Reading tutors, LeighAnne knows how to pronounce certain words that I don't know how to pronounce. She is very helpful and knowledgeable.
Speaking from the perspective of a 1-sided verbal test taker - John P. is the best math tutor I have ever had. He comes to sessions prepared, full of materials, and is ready to answer any question you may have. John is able to tailor his program to any need you may have - from standardized tests to regular semester courses - with great ease and professionalism. He is easy to reach via cell phone or text message, and is able to work with almost any schedule the student may need accommodated. If you are 13 or 30 and need some help in tackling math or science, John P. is the first and only accessory you will need for success. Plus he can write upside down!!!
