My daughter was in danger of failing the 5th grade and desperately needed help with math. We enlisted Scott's help a month before the FCAT and he was able work with my daughter so that she understood the concepts needed in order to pass. Not only did she pass the FCAT but his teaching methods were so great that she brought her grade up from an "F" to a "B" in just one grade period!!! Scott is kind, patient and really targets the areas needed for improvement!! For anyone with an elementary or middle school-aged child that need help in math, Scott is definitely a great tutor!!!!! My daughter thinks the world of him and my husband and I are so grateful!!

"Photoshop & Photoshop Elements tutor: in-person or live-online"

I've been tutoring and training Photoshop and Photoshop Elements for five years, and teach both programs at Access Institute in Queens. My focus has been teaching photo/image editing to beginning-Intermediate students. I’ve also started online sessions. Students and I work together in real-time on the same images as I guide them step by step, keystroke by keystroke. I created a library of photos which I use to demonstrate specific step-by-step procedures/skills. Then I guide the the stude... ... More

I just had my first lesson with John and I was very impressed by his knowledge of the subject and the way he was able to understand my needs during the studies and the material I needed to master. He had also a great patience and gave positive feedback. He answered all my questions and demonstrated a great knowledge on the use of computer related to my studies. If you need a tutor who is knowledgeable, patient and interesting to work with, he is the one!

"Find your voice"

I am an aspiring opera singer who loves to tutor writing, music and art. I went to college for english and music, and I am excited to pass some of that knowledge on. I think it is very important for everyone to find their own voice in their writing, as well as their own voices as singers and artists. I am very talented at finding creative ways to teach and help a student understand. Not everyone learns in the same ways, and my goal is to teach in a way that makes sense for each indivi... ... John was a very good tutor. He helped me get my walking cycle and pitching animation with constraints down. During our two day tutoring session, we managed to get both assignments done in a two-hour time frame. I am very pleased with my tutor sessions. He arrived promptly on time, and took the time to demonstrate the movement for me in person so I could reference from his movements. I would recommend John if you are looking for an animations tutor. He really takes the time to explain things.

"MAYA CG Artist Particles, fluids, rigids"

I have been working as an Effects Technical Director in the film and commercials industries for about 13 years. My primary software has been Maya. I have had graduate level courses in animation using Maya. I worked on the film "Avatar" for over a year, using Maya. I currently earn my living using Maya in post-production houses in NYC. I also have credits on the first two Ice Age movies, in which I used Maya to make snowflakes, water, steam, etc. I created the crowd system for the film "Robots" - in Maya, based on a co-workers proof-of-concept plugin build. ... I met with Matthew a lot in preparation for the GRE, and he definitely helped me brush up on my math skills, verbal strategies, and writing technique. He was very patient, especially on my off days, when I wasn't in the mood for GRE. I improved my GRE score into the range I was hoping for. He's great about figuring out the best way that you learn and working with you in that way. He's also very encouraging and confident in you. If God forbid, I have to take any other test I would refer back to Matthew. He also is easy to make your schedule with and any changes that need to be changed he's very responsive and quick!
