"Mike's Extra Help Service"
I am a student of history. I love it, and find that there is nothing better to learn from. Government and history, in my book, go together; there is no way to separate the two. I understand that most people would rather just pass these types of classes, sort of like math, but when you really want to learn how to change the world, you learn how people in the past have changed it. I have always been excited to learn about these topics, also including philosophy, but was sorely disappointed ... ... More

I am a semi-retired teacher with many years teaching experience in public and private schools, as a homebound teacher, and in business training for various industries. My favorite time has been the recent 8 years as an ESOL teacher. My students have been from all parts of the world, diverse cultures, and various ages from very young to grandparents. Although a native born American, my own extended family is also culturally diverse with members from Russia, Spain, and Japan.

This tutor is great. She really listened to what I wanted to work on and devised a plan to help me reach my goals. She wants to help me meet what my professors want. I feel more inspired to learn and improve then I have ever felt before.

My daughter is a Boarding student in Hilton Head, SC and also is currently taking Spanish III. Upon looking for a tutor, as I live in West Virginia, I was first concerned with the background and credentials of the individual that I was hiring. WyzAnt exceeded all my expectations by providing a background check in securing the recommendation for a tutor. Charity has tutored my daughter weekly since September of 2012 and currently continues to do so. My daughter has always been a B student in Spanish I and II, but with the assistance of Charity, my daughter is currently securing high A's. Charity is patient, kind, always on time and most importantly provides feedback to me with each lesson. Charity's knowledge of Spanish has well exceeded my expectations!!
Most foreign languages require either an aptitude of leaning that a child may possess or may find rather difficult. Charity has enlightened my daughter to the potentials that Spanish can offer and has also taught her the foundation required in order to learn and maintain the language.
If you are looking for a tutor that can make a subject enlightening that would otherwise be considered mundane, Charity M. is your tutor!!!

"I Love Español :: Bilingual College Graduate"
TUTORING EXPERIENCE:
I began studying Spanish in high school and continued throughout college, which led me to graduate with a minor in Spanish from Liberty University in 2002.
In 2003, I spent a year in Guatemala where I worked as a volunteer and tutor for the first time. In the morning, I taught Pre-K, Kindergarten and 1st grade students at a local school. And in the afternoon, I worked at an orphanage where I helped students with their daily homework assignments. After teaching English to... ... More
