Louise has been very helpful to my daughter. She has the ability to explain solutions that could not be discussed in class. Very happy with her.

"Certified Teacher, Experienced Tutor, many subjects, especially math"
I have an MEd in Special Ed. I've been a case manager at the High School and Middle School level. Many of my students have been coded with Aspergers or PDD of various sorts. I have worked at a private special ed school in Concord, which specializes in helping students with Aspergers. And I worked for years in the high tech industry, most recently as a technical writer, and worked closely with many adults who were very likely Aspergers. I do "get it". :-) And I know how to communicate and teach students who struggle with other teachers. ... More

When our son started to fail his algebra 2 class we turned to WyzAnt to find a math tutor. I interviewed 4 tutors and asked 2 of them to come for a paid session with my son. Brenda was available next day. She spent 1.5 hrs with him and we saw an immediate improvement in his score from 57 to 81. We asked our son for feedback between two tutors and he said that he would like to continue working with Brenda. Brenda has been meeting with him since then once a week. She is responsive and gets back to you right away by phone or email. Brenda is very pleasant to work with, always smiling and laughing, which puts kids at ease. During her sessions I can hear my son asking clarifying questions, he is engaged and focused. My son's grades improved this semester considerably and we are very grateful to Brenda for her work.

"Fun, Exciting Tutor Who is Great with Children!"
I have tutored children from age 5 to 13 and have tried to help students who are struggling by showing them the worth of a good education in a fun way. I believe that a good tutoring experience isn't just about the one-on-one attention that this type of service can provide but also about preparing the student to continue to do well in all of their subjects by boosting confidence and interest in school subjects wherever I can.
I apply my experiences with people from working in the service ... ... More
