Barron was a terrific tutor who helped our son raise his SSAT scores considerably. We had not chosen to tutor for the SSAT originally, as our son had always done well in scholastic testing, scoring 99th percentile every time. This was a huge mistake! I recommend to everyone that you tutor before taking the SSAT test. Due to timing issues, we had to move quickly to get the tutoring done before the next testing session. Barron was extremely flexible and agreed to meet with our son 4 days a week for the next two weeks to prepare. He was always on time, connected well with our son and was able to affect the change we needed to see in his scores. We were thrilled to see the huge change this made. We will absolutely use Barron again if we need any tutoring and highly recommend him.

After investing in a four month SAT prep course that yielded no results, I hired Mike to tutor my son for the Math SAT. After 12 lessons with Mike, my son’s Math SAT score increased 120 points. Mike always arrived promptly, prepared with an organized plan for the lesson. Through evaluating his homework and assessments, he monitored my son’s progress and tailored the lessons to best address the areas he was having trouble with. He was patient and encouraging when working with my son, and always kept me informed of his progress. In addition, he made himself available for questions between lessons and was flexible with scheduling. My son learned a lot from Mike and we're very pleased with the results.
