Lindsey tutored me in Statistics. She is very knowledgeable and explained things very well. I understood more with her in an hour than I did in a month of classes.

"PhD in Neurosci Statistics, Math, Study Skills, Psychology, Science"
I have been tutoring since I was in middle school and have had students ranging from elementary school students to PhD candidates (with topics including SAT, SSAT, statistics, psychology, elementary math, reading, etc). I have had great success with my students thus far! Most recently, I helped a student pass her statistics qualifying exam for doctoral candidacy. I have two advanced graduate degrees (MS) in psychology (one explicitly in Experimental Psychology, which focused heavily on resear... ... More

Mark is very good at going through the details step by step, which is really important for advanced math. He writes the problems out for me to use as a study aid. He is very good at explaining when I don't quite understand a problem; he can explain it in a different way than my professor so I get it. He's also good at reminding me how much I should be studying and helping me figure out what and how to study for a test. Since he used to teach, he has some insight on how a teacher might think and helps me focus on the important problems when it's time to do that last minute cramming for a test.

I've been teaching aerodynamics, biology, earth science and prealgerbra for over 10 years. The instruction I provide helps students with passing the regents exams and understanding difficult areas of common core instruction. My undergraduate degree is in aviation science and my masters is in education. I studied aviation and used to fly airplanes in college. One of my most comparable attributes in teaching is the ability to capture my students attention in every subject I teach. Many studen... ... More

Kenneth tutored our son to prepare him for taking the ASVAB. He returned our inquiry for tutoring services promptly allowing us to begin quickly. He was very knowledgeable about the exam itself and had us prepare before the first session so that no time would be wasted, (as a parent I really appreciate this since tutoring services are not cheap). He was always on time and sensitive to when he might be losing my son and was able to refocus him quickly. But the proof is always in the results, our son scored Alpha Candidate bringing his afqt score from the 46 he had on the practice test to a 68, (after only 11 hours of tutoring). We were very pleased with our experience and would recommend him highly.

"Specializing in ASVAB, AFQT, AFOQT."
When I am working with a student, young or old, I respect the fact that no two students learn the same way. This is key to quality learning. I have also found that it takes great patience to tutor an individual.
While I was a student, I faced various struggles. Most often these struggles were due to boredom. I was often considered advanced while in school but I did not always apply myself. Teachers did not usually take the time to make the class interesting to an advanced student. Consequ... ... More

Really put in a lot of effort to help me. One time he got held up on a Monday and that same Monday came and met with me from 9 PM till 1130. Works in the field of accounting and it seemed like the concepts that we hadn't covered yet appeared to come to him automatically. Good personality not only did he help me succeed we shared some laughs. Most certainly worth the 45$ an hour, I felt that he was!

Jacqueline is a very good teacher. Each lesson has a clear objective stated at the outset and then it's full speed ahead. I'm completely enjoying this experience. I will not continue to write a blurb after each lesson; I know I'm in good hands now and I am grateful.
