Luis has been, for me, one of the greatest writing teachers of my entire scholastic career. Writing was always a difficult topic for me to fully grasp because it is not a fact subject. By that, I simply mean that two different teachers with the same paper may grade it completely different. Luis, taught me a way to write, that teaches the core fundamentals of writing while still keeping my unique style. Not only does he teach exceptionally well but he has never wasted a moment of any of our time together. I can honestly say he is one of the few teachers that wont try to take up time just to get to the end of a class. this means, if we finish our session early not only will he leave at that time, but he only charges for the time we spent together learning. Because of his teachings not only will I score much higher on the S.A.T writing portion of the test but I will be a much better writer throughout my life.

"Academic Prose / College Composition"

My interest in working as an academic tutor began after earning an A grade on the first expository essay I wrote as a college freshman.  Over ten years later, I submitted an economic research report as a continuing education student.  That report reawakened a proclivity for academic prose.  From that point on, I pursued all writing roles either as the mentor or as the author.  My first tutoring responsibility materialized in the fall of 2009 when I accepted an assignment to tutor freshman Eng... ... I am an adult who returned back to college after 20 years. I was in a bind getting ready to take a midterm and decided to look for a tutor. Ira contacted me within a few hours of my post and made time to tutor me on the very same day and has been working patiently with me to catch me up on the material I should know. Patient and caring tutor. Makes sure you understand the reason behind your math work not just how to do the work. Would definitely recommend.
Happy to have found Manny to tutor my 8 year old daughter who is struggling in math. Looking forward to setting up more tutoring sessions with him.
If you are a person like me who is in the process of preparing for job interviews, and would like to find a tutor to help polish overall English communication skills, Emily is the right tutor for you. I've been learning with Emily for three months now, taking a 1.5 hour session weekly. Each time Emily will review an interview-related topic with me and helped me prepare my own response to the questions. For example, we were practicing common interview questions like "Why do you want to leave your current company?", and "How do you balance your work and life?" and "Tell me about your current projects". Emily not only helped me phrase the correct English sentences but also suggested some strategies to me. I found it very helpful. Another example is Emily would diligently search some interview-related articles for me to read - not just those general ones, but those specific to my job position and my hometown that were tailored to my background. Lastly, Emily was very kind and patient. She is always on time and communicates any change of schedule beforehand. I would never hesitate to recommend Emily to my friends.
