The session with Leandra was outstanding. My son was open with his challenges and communicated well. I believe she will help him achieve his goal and be more confident in learning Physics. I really appreciate her ability to teach.

"Math (Elementary - Linear Algebra Math Levels), Physics"
My passion for teaching comes from a lifelong love for learning. As a magnum cum laude graduate of physics, I know that hard work, discipline, and dedication to learning and education can pay off. My academic achievements include the Dean's List, Society of Physics Students Vice President (Local School Chapter), and the opportunity to present my senior project on a national platform. As a recent graduate I am able to reach the modern student not only on the college level but on an elementary ... ... More

I should have graduated college years ago, but I left school and joined the Army instead. For me, the fight never really ended; after I left the Army, I struggled to find odd jobs to make ends meet. It wasn't until a couple years ago that things in my life starting falling into place. Now that I have a wife, a good job, and a mortgage, I realized I need to finish schooling and get a degree. The problem? I'm horrible at math, and yet, I must pass a calculus course. The problem is my algebra skills were never great to begin with, and now that I haven't been in a mathematics course for the past 10 years, I'm more than a little "rusty". I'll be honest: I was not looking forward to my first tutoring session. I was embarrassed that I even needed a tutor, and I didn't want him to think I was just another moron. I was apprehensive to say the least!
My feelings about how the first session would go couldn't have been further from the truth! Joseph was a great tutor; very patient, welcoming, and kind. That feeling of apprehension passed within the first 10 minutes of the lesson, and he aided me in my (admittedly remedial) algebra while also assisting with my calculus. I was nervous...no, I was scared..prior to the first lesson. Today (the day after), I am thrilled to be working with such a great tutor and all-around nice guy.
All-in-all, I would absolutely recommend Joseph for tutoring in any area of mathematics!

Jason is helping my son improve his scores on the SAT. Has worked with him for 3 sessions, and he seems to work very well with students. My son is gaining confidence and motivation in working with Jason.
