Not everyone has a natural flair for academia. That's why New York teachers are offering private one on one training in a wide range of subjects. This tuition is available to any student who is interested no matter what level of skill they have in the field in question. Some people turn to tutors to help them pass when they are struggling with a particular class, while others are already passing, but want to bump themselves up another grade. Tutors are happy to help students of all ages in a whole range of situations, so no matter what your circumstances are, why not look at the tutors offering lessons in your area and give your education an extra boost?
Makunda was very punctual. His knowledge of the subject (chemistry) was very impressive. He was able to explain it to my daughter in great details. She gave him two thumbs up for her first lesson with him.

Tutoring has been my "hobby" ever since high school. I would tutor my classmates and friends. I went to college in Europe (Belgium) where I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry. I worked as a private tutor in Math and the Sciences to complement my scholarship. I eventually ended up in New york for my Masters. There I created private tutoring network. Many times callers were friends or relatives of students I tutored in the past.

"Specialized HS Teacher - Cornell Med - Science, ACT, SAT, Math"
To me, learning is really about adapting effective learning strategies. These strategies must be based on each student's individual style. Then, learning issues can be clarified, evaluated, and resolved. This allows learning to be a fascinating, mind blowing, and interesting experience.
My subjects of proficiency are chemistry, biochemistry, algebra I and II, geometry, organic chemistry, and physiology.

Wesley is a very friendly, relateable tutor who truly does care about teaching you. I am going to him now for Chemistry, which I used to completely hate and become frustrated just going to class. Now that I have the knowledge and confidence I need, it is no longer a frustration to me. He takes the time to explain all concepts and presents so many different ways of looking at the material that it is impossible not to grasp. He is extremely patient and doesn't give up until you understand. I would recommend him to anyone.

I can't say enough about John. He's just remarkable. He's pulled our son's grades up, our son really likes him (very important) and he even gave me a session so i could understand what my son is doing enough to help him, too.

A good testament to a great tutor is that you keep coming back time and time again for more. This is my 4th lesson with Carter J. and what I like about this tutor is he's very knowledgeable and organized. He teaches at your speed and makes sure you not only learn the lesson but understand it as well. The lesson does not end when you step out the door, as he emails you related material concerning the lessons you just learned so it keeps you sharp and allows you to remember the material you just learned.
Overall, I like his professionalism, calm demeanor, and follow through. Would recommended him to beginners, intermediate, and professionals wanting to start or just brush up on their skill level. Carter J. is worth every cent of my investment and probably more.
