I have yet to encounter a student who failed to master what I was teaching. For the past few weeks, Heyam has helped me study for the mathematics section of the Praxis Exam for my teaching certification. The exam involes number operations, algebraic thinking, geometry, measurement, data, and interpretation. Heyam arrived prepared to every tutoring session and provided different strategies to approach math problems. Heyam put her biggest effort in making sure I understood each math problem completely, not just how to get the answer but really understanding the concepts. In addition to being knowledgable, she was kind and patient. She even went out of her way to give me homework (yes, even as an adult student) to reinforce what was taught during our lessons.
